What Is An MRI?
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a technique that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within your body. Most MRI machines are large, tube-shaped magnets. When you lie inside an MRI machine, the magnetic field temporarily realigns hydrogen atoms in your body. Read more here…
What Is A CT Scan?
A ‘computerized tomography’ (CT) (or ‘computerized axial tomography’ (CAT) scan) uses a computer that takes data from several X-ray images of structures inside a human’s or animal’s body and converts them into pictures on a monitor. Read more here…
What Is Contrast?
Contrast materials, also called contrast agents or contrast media, are used to improve pictures of the inside of the body produced by x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, and ultrasound. Often, contrast materials allow the radiologist to distinguish normal from abnormal conditions.
Contrast materials are not dyes that permanently discolor internal organs. They are substances that temporarily change the way x-rays or other imaging tools interact with the body. Read more here…

Where Are The Results Of My Scan Sent?
The results of your scan will be sent to your referring healthcare provider.
Can I Use My Insurance To Get The Same Low Price?
The prices which we have contracted are for cash patients only. We work hard to negotiate with imaging centers to bring you the lowest prices we can. Typically imaging centers charge patients considerably more if they are paying with insurance.
How Do You Get The Price So Low?
We work hard to negotiate prices directly with imaging centers to bring you the best prices we can.
Can I get a refund if I miss my appointment?
As we purchase the time ahead of your appointment you will not receive a refund from Veritas Diagnostic Services if you miss your appointment. The imaging center will schedule your appointment with you for a time that suits you best, so please make sure you will be able to make your appointment.
Given enough notice, an individual center may be willing to reschedule your appointment but that is independent of Veritas Diagnostic Services. Always call your imaging center straight away if you have any doubts about your ability to attend your appointment.
Do You Offer Medical Advice?
Veritas Diagnostic Services, LLC does not provide or offer medical advice. Any medical diagnosis will have to be made by your doctor based on the results of your scan and the reading by the radiologist.
